Job summary

NSL is seeking a DVLA Enforcement Officer (Nights) to join our frontline team. You will liaise with the public, advise on clamping and fines, and work with Police, DVLA and VOSA as required.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, strong communication, and the ability to work at night and on your own initiative. Training and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Manual Licence) required.
• Excellent communication skills with the public.
• Self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to clamp and remove untaxed vehicles.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with members of the public and advises regarding clamping and fines.
• Advises the public on payment methods and enforcement actions on vehicles.
• Works with other agencies including Police, DVLA and VOSA.
• Handles enquiries about enforcement actions and provides information packs.
• Ensures vehicles and enforcement equipment are serviced and fit for purpose; reports faults.
• Completes daily activity reports.
• Clamps and removes untaxed vehicles.

DVLA Enforcement Officer (Nights)

Our Enforcement Officers play a big part by removing untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA.

All applicants applying for this role must hold a full manual UK driving licence. Applicants who do not hold a valid full manual UK driving licence will not be considered for this role

Please note that this is a night-shift role, and applicants must be fully aware of and committed to working nights.

What does a DVLA Enforcement Officer Do?

• Liaises with members of the public and give advice regarding clamping and fines.
• Advises the public on payment methods and other issues regarding enforcement action taken on their vehicle.
• Work alongside other agencies when required including Police DVLA and VOSA.
• Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available
• Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviced and fit for purpose reporting faults to the Manager.
• Completes daily reports regarding activities
• Clamping and removal of untaxed vehicles
