Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support complex IT infrastructure in a specialist environment. The role focuses on delivering projects, automation and continuous improvement while ensuring DV clearance requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with networking, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and scripting (Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash), plus a track record of managing Windows and Linux

Qualifications

• Experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation and support.
• Valid DV clearance.
• Knowledge of networking technologies (Cisco/Juniper/Dell/HP).
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Scripting with Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell and BASH.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement physical and virtual IT infrastructure solutions.
• Deliver infrastructure projects in line with customer requirements and timescales.
• Maintain and support existing IT infrastructure and deployed systems.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure faults and technical issues.
• Monitor system performance and perform backups, patching and upgrades.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for supported infrastructure.
• Record incidents and actions taken to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain scripts and automation tools for routine tasks.
