Job summary

Talent Locker is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a high-security Defence project in Somerset. The role is a hands-on contract focusing on building and hardening a secure infrastructure stack, including Cisco Nexus networking, NetApp storage, Hyper-V, VMware, and Windows Server.

You will work across physical and virtual layers, implementing AD, DNS, PKI, and cryptographic controls with DV clearance. On-site in Somerset, with a strong emphasis on secure, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on infrastructure engineering experience in secure environments.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus networking hardware.
• Experience building and hardening Windows Server environments.
• DV clearance or ability to obtain DV clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and hardening Cisco Nexus Leaf/Spine network infrastructure
• Initialising and presenting NetApp storage with data-at-rest encryption
• Building and hardening Hyper-V clusters for AD, DNS and PKI
• Supporting VMware Cloud Foundation deployment and integration
• Working with HSM/KMS appliances and cryptographic systems
• Supporting key management and key ceremony activities
• Building and configuring Windows Server 2022/2025 environments
• Carrying out rack-and-stack and secure cabling in a Defence setting
