Job summary

Bespoke Hotels at the Caledonian Hotel in Ullapool is seeking a proactive Hotel Duty Manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave. You will oversee day-to-day hotel operations, coordinating Front of House, F&B and Housekeeping to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role offers live-in accommodation and a supportive management team, with exposure to all hotel operations and future development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Has previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality.
• May currently be working as an F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor looking for their next challenge.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Has a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Can remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Has excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Is flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the hotel across all departments.

• Handle guest feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally and efficiently.

• Assist with stock control, ordering and departmental cost management.
• Act as the senior manager on duty and be the main point of contact for guests and staff.
• Support with hotel administration, reporting and operational planning.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Hotel Duty Manager to join our management team on a maternity leave cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Food & Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or experienced Supervisor looking to take the next step in their hospitality career and gain exposure to all aspects of hotel operations.
