Job summary

Crerar Hotels Group is seeking a Duty Manager to be a key presence on the floor, welcoming guests and ensuring smooth daily operations across our Scotland and Lake District hotels. You will support departmental leaders, manage guest concerns, and act as an escalation point when senior management is unavailable.

You will also lead in emergencies, oversee staff handovers, and coordinate venue set-ups, maintenance, and promotional activities to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong communication and guest-relations skills.
• Ability to support senior leaders and oversee daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and ensure seamless daily operations on the floor.
• Support departmental leaders and communicate details to staff.
• Handle guest concerns effectively and act as escalation point in absence of senior management.
• Lead in emergencies and manage staff handovers between shifts.

You'll also lead in emergencies, conduct venue walk-rounds for security and presentation, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts. Additionally, you will manage guest requests, assist with alternative accommodation if needed, and oversee venue set-ups, maintenance issues, and promotions to enhance the guest experience.
