Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd, operating SPAR stores in the UK, is seeking a Duty Manager for Amlwch. The role supports the Store Manager to maintain a safe, compliant and high-performing store, with leadership across shifts.

The successful candidate will manage operations, drive customer service, and coach colleagues to deliver KPI targets. A minimum of 16 hours per week is required, with shifts spanning 7am–11pm and a £13.75 per hour rate plus bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisor experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high performing store, whilst taking overall responsibility for the entire store during Duty Manager shifts.
• Assist the Store Manager to deliver all store operations, objectives and KPI’s.
• Manage, coach and support colleagues, developing a motivated and empowered team.
• Carry out performance management/absence management as appropriate.
• Open/close the store occasionally, ensure colleague safety and stock/cash security during shifts.
• Carry out cash reconciliations, voids and refunds and other management tasks for till colleagues.
• Be a role model and lead the team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Work with colleagues to engage with and support the local community and promote the store.
