Job summary

Daish’s Holidays in Weymouth is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to support hotel operations and uphold our high service standards. You’ll lead across departments, handle guest queries, manage staff rosters, and act as a positive role model for the team.

With proven leadership in hospitality, you’ll train and induct staff, handle cash and EPOS systems confidently, and maintain Health & Safety compliance while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management and guest-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong customer service ethos with a professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with EPOS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel and uphold standards.
• Provide a positive, helpful, welcoming guest experience.
• Deal with guest complaints calmly and professionally.
• Support departmental managers and teams to ensure standards.
• Lead, motivate and coach staff; model a positive approach.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the hotel.
• Contribute to staff training and induction processes.
• Manage staff rotas and wage budgets.
• Utilise EPOS systems confidently, especially in bar operations.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and accurate cash management.
• Ensure Health & Safety policies are followed throughout the hotel.
• Maintain professionalism under pressure and uphold company values.
