Freedom Leisure in the United Kingdom is seeking a Duty Manager for Ash Manor Sports Centre. You will lead a small team, ensure high standards of service, safety and cleanliness, and manage daily operations with a focus on guest experience and community impact.

The role offers varied hours, training support, and the chance to develop in a friendly, inclusive environment across one of the charity’s many centres.

Qualifications

• Actively manage and develop and motivate a team of operational staff.
• Be responsible for day-to-day duty management and running of the leisure centre to a high standard.
• Contribute to understanding the business and budgetary performance of the centre.
• Be a proactive member of the leisure centre team.
• Demonstrate a passion for the industry through continuous professional development.
• Experience in problem solving, customer service and staff management.
• Experience in a Duty Management or similar role with flexible, autonomous decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of operational staff to deliver excellent visitor experiences.
• Oversee day-to-day duty management and operation of the leisure centre.
• Contribute to budget awareness and centre performance.
• Be a proactive, collaborative member of the centre team.
• Display commitment to ongoing professional development in the leisure industry.
• Handle customer service challenges and staff management responsibilities.
• Adapt to flexible hours and make confident, independent decisions as required.
