Job summary

Lavoro Hospitality seeks a Duty Manager for a 4* luxury hotel with a rosette restaurant and wedding venue. You will drive guest satisfaction, oversee operations and lead a frontline team across departments.

Responsibilities include staff training, shift management, event coordination, and resolving issues quickly. You’ll report to the operations manager; weekend and evening shifts are required, with a 45-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Duty Manager in a hotel setting.
• Ability to lead and train a frontline team.
• Strong guest relations and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating events and managing peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Direct and train hotel staff across departments.
• Manage guest expectations and respond to queries.
• Resolve issues promptly to maintain service levels.
• Oversee restaurant operations and wedding/events as required.
• Ensure smooth business flow during duty shifts.
• Report to the operations manager and maintain rotas.

Job description

Our client is looking for a Duty Manager with hotel experience, for their 4* luxury hotel, rosette restaurant and wedding venue which is part of a group of hotels. The property is high profile and prestigious, serving quality cuisine to guests and delegates.

Purpose of the role

The Duty Manager will be the face of the business ensuring that all operational areas are performing correctly and dealing with any issues that arise. The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Managing and training staff
• Managing guest expectations and queries
• Effective problem resolution
• Overseeing the restaurant and managing events as necessary
• Ensure the smooth running of the business during duty management shift
• Reporting to the operations manager
• Shifts on weekly rota basis 5 out of 7 days including weekends
