Job summary

RAD Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Duty Manager for Lochside House Hotel, Lodges & Spa in Scotland. You’ll lead day-to-day operations across all departments, maintain high service standards, and act as a key point of contact for guests.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, excellent communication, organisational ability and a proactive approach to problem solving. You’ll support weddings, conferences and events, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and help the wider management

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a hotel or F&B environment.
• Experience in conference, banqueting, weddings, or events is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
• Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make confident decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and management.
• A positive attitude, professional appearance, and diplomatic approach.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring all departments are running efficiently and to a high standard
• Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling enquiries and resolving issues professionally
• Lead and support the team on shift, ensuring clear communication and strong service standards
• Carry out regular checks across the hotel, lodges, and guest areas to maintain cleanliness, presentation, and service standards
• Support the smooth running of weddings, conferences, and events
• Manage financial duties including cash handling and basic reporting
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and hotel policies
• Support the wider management team with the day-to-day running of the hotel
