Job summary

Oxford University Sport at Iffley Road is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the Sports Complex, supporting the General Manager and team to deliver high-quality service for students, staff and the local community. The role is a full-time secondment until 8 November 2028, with shift patterns including evenings, weekends and early mornings.

The successful candidate will have staff management experience, RLSS NPLQ and First Aid at Work qualifications, and be willing to act

Qualifications

• Experience in a leisure or sports environment with junior staff management.
• Current RLSS NPLQ, First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operator qualifications.
• Ability to communicate accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Willingness to act as key holder.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Sports Complex and support the General Manager.
• Manage a balanced shift rota including evenings, weekends and early mornings.
• Adhere to safeguarding and DBS requirements as part of the recruitment process.
