Job summary

BH Live is recruiting a Duty Manager to join our busy team at BH Live Active – The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex in Southampton. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations on duty, ensuring safety, coordinating staffing, and opening/closing the building, with on-call duties for emergencies.

A strong customer focus and good communication are essential. We offer onsite parking, training and development opportunities, a health plan and pension, plus staff discounts and recognition

Site: BH Live Active – The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex

Geographical location: Southampton

Salary: £29,580 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

The role:

BH Live is recruiting a Duty Manager to join our busy team at BH Live Active – The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex.

Our Duty Managers ensure everyone visiting our centre has a great customer experience, has fun and is kept safe.

You will have day-to-day responsibility for the operations of the centre, whilst on duty and may need to be required to be on call for emergencies.

You will:

• Ensure each department has the appropriate level of staffing and be responsible for the coordination of reactive shift cover.
• Be responsible for and coordinate the safe evacuation of members of the public and colleagues in the event of an emergency.
• Open and close the building.
• Carry out visual building inspections of the building and report any issues to our technical team.

To be successful you will need:

• Confidence.
• Good organisation skills, coupled with great attention to detail.
• Great people skills, be proactive with great communication skills.
• A customer focussed approach.
• Commercial acumen.

Due to the nature of our business, you will need to be available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
