Job summary

BH Live is recruiting for qualified Casual Recreation Assistants to join our busy team at the Mountbatten Centre. Located in Hilsea, a short drive from Portsmouth city centre, the Mountbatten Centre offers access to fitness facilities including cardio zones, weights, studios, a sports hall, track, pool and spa.

Applicants must hold a valid in-date NPLQ qualification and be willing to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• A valid in-date NPLQ qualification is required.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Calmness under pressure and good initiative are important.
• Ability to concentrate while working poolside.

Responsibilities

• Work poolside and supervise pool activities.
• Be a point of contact for customers and respond to queries.
• Be vigilant to keep customers safe.
• Erect, dismantle and move equipment as needed.
• Clean the centre and equipment to high standards.

Post Title: Casual Recreation Assistant

Site Location: BH Live Active - Mountbatten Centre – Portsmouth

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Casual

The role:

BH Live is recruiting for qualified Casual Recreation Assistants to join our busy team at the Mountbatten Centre. Located in Hilsea, a five-minute drive from Portsmouth city centre, the Mountbatten Centre offers access to high-quality fitness facilities including a cardio zone, free weights, functional fitness, group cycle studio, sports hall, running track, swimming pool and a spa.

To apply for this role you must hold a valid NPLQ qualification, as its an essential requirement.

You will:

• Work poolside
• Be a point of contact for our customers
• Be vigilant and keep our customers safe
• Erect, dismantle and move equipment
• Clean the centre and equipment

To be successful you will need:

• A valid in date NPLQ qualification
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance
• Be a confident swimmer
• To keep calm under pressure and have good initiative
• The ability to concentrate whilst working poolside
• Great customer service skills
