Job summary

SSP UK & Ireland is hiring a Duty Manager at Manchester Piccadilly Station (Burger King). This part-time role is 20 hours per week, with a base pay of £13.61 per hour and a £1.50 night rate for hours 00:00–06:00, taking the rate to £15.11 per hour. Shifts run 6:00am–1:00am, across weekdays, weekends and holidays, offering varied hours.

You will lead the team, deliver strong service, and drive energy across busy locations within SSP's iconic brands.

• Leadership experience in busy hospitality or retail.
• Ability to open/close operations and solve problems on the fly.
• Willingness to work across weekends and holidays.

DUTY MANAGER - MANCHESTER PICCADILLY STATION, BURGER KING

Pay Rate: £13.61 per hour (+ you will earn an additional £1.50 per hour on hours worked between midnight and 6:00am taking you houly rate to £15.11)

We have Part Time(20hrs) roles available.

Hours of operation: 6:00am to 1:00am. Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.

About You

• Due to some responsibilities within the Duty Manager role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.

About The Duty Manager Role

• Take ownership of opening, closing, and daily operations while solving problems on the fly.


• Lead your team through busy shifts, keeping the energy high and the atmosphere positive.


• Inspire your team to deliver great customer service, be the go-to person for customer and team queries.


• Results focussed, staying informed about unit performance and championing improvements.


• Previous experience leading a team in busy Hospitality or Retail is ideal.
