Job summary

SSP, in partnership with M&S, seeks a Retail Duty Manager for Gatwick Airport North Terminal. You’ll manage opening/closing and daily operations while keeping energy high and customer service strong across shifts 6:30am–11:30pm.

The role is full-time (30+ hours) with pay £14.25 per hour, plus a £1.50 per hour overnight incentive, bringing some shifts to £15.75. Flexibility across weekdays, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Retail moves fast and requires leadership capability.
• Must be 18 years of age or over for certain shifts/tasks.
• Experience leading a team in hospitality or retail is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of opening, closing, and daily operations.
• Lead the team through busy shifts with high energy.
• Inspire the team to deliver great customer service and handle queries.
• Monitor unit performance and champion improvements.

RETAIL DUTY MANAGER - M&S Gatwick Airport North Terminal

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn anextra £1.50 per hourfor hours worked between midnight and 6 am, bringing your rate of pay to £15.75 per hour.

Shift Pattern: Full-Time (30+hrs). Shifts between 6:30am - 11:30pm, any 5 shifts out of 7. Working flexiblyacross weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.

• Due to some responsibilities within the Retail Duty Managerrole, applicants willneed to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.

• Lead your team through busy shifts, keeping the energy high and the atmosphere positive.
• Inspire your team to deliver great customer service, be the go-to person for customer and team queries.
• Results focussed, staying informed about unit performance and championing improvements.
• Previous experience leading a teamin a busy Hospitality or Retail environment is ideal!
