Job summary

SSP is recruiting a Duty Manager for M&S Simply Food at Cambridge Station. You will open, close and run daily operations, lead a busy team and ensure exceptional customer service across shifts from 5am to 10pm.

This role offers a fast-paced environment with flexible weekday/weekend work, and benefits such as staff discounts and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in hospitality or retail.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem solving.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of opening, closing, and daily operations while solving problems on the fly.
• Lead your team through busy shifts, maintaining energy and a positive atmosphere.
• Inspire your team to deliver great customer service and be the go-to person for queries.
• Monitor unit performance and champion improvements.

About the Role

DUTY MANAGER - M&S SIMPLY FOOD, Cambridge Station

Pay Rate: £13.61 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn anextra £1.50 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 am, bringing your rate of pay to £15.11 per hour.

Shift Pattern: Full-Time (30+ hours p.w). Shifts schedule between 5am and 10pm. Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.

• Due to some responsibilities within the Nightshift Duty Managerrole, applicants willneed to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.

• Results focussed, staying informed about unit performance and championing improvements.
• Previous experience leading a teamin a busy Hospitality or Retail environment is ideal!
