Job summary

The Grand Brighton, part of the Leonardo Hotels family, seeks a Duty Manager to lead daily hotel operations and guest experiences. You’ll supervise the team, support interviews, coach new starters, and collaborate with HR on staff engagement while upholding our service standards and brand values.

We’re looking for someone versatile who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and can drive exceptional guest moments across the hotel.

Qualifications

• Hospitality supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Strong guest-relations and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with interviews/recruitment and coaching of new starters.
• Ability to coordinate across departments and manage day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and guest experiences as a Duty Manager.
• Greet guests, motivate staff, and ensure service standards are met.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment and staff activities.
• Coach and train new starters to build confidence in their roles.
• Handle guest issues and complaints with calm, effective resolution.
• Work with other departments to create memorable guest experiences.

Job description

The Duty Manager will direct the strategic initiatives and objectives of the hotel, as well as managing day to day operations through the engagement of the team. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness. As a Duty Manager, you’ll support the senior operational team to keep the hotel running like clockwork and ensure our guests have an incredible experience with us. You’ll supervise the day-to-day hotel operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests’ expectations. We’re looking for someone with versatility, who is great at getting stuck in and thrives on the fast-paced nature of Hospitality! As a Duty Manager, you will: • Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality • Have strong operational knowledge with the ability to work across departments as required • Support other managers with interviews and recruitment- it’s a team effort • Coach and train new starters- we want everyone to feel confident in their new role! • Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly • Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for the team • Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant?
