Job summary

Leonardo Hotel Plymouth is inviting applications for a Duty Manager (Fixed Term) to lead daily hotel operations, inspire a vibrant team, and ensure memorable guest experiences. You’ll direct strategic initiatives, mentor colleagues, and collaborate across departments to keep the hotel running smoothly.

We’re seeking a versatile, hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, experience in hospitality, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

• Hospitality leadership experience
• Excellent guest service and communication
• Ability to manage across departments

Responsibilities

• Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality
• Have strong operational knowledge with the ability to work across departments as required
• Support other managers with interviews and recruitment- it’s a team effort
• Coach and train new starters- we want everyone to feel confident in their new role!
• Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly
• Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for the team
• Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant?

All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness. As a Duty Manager, you’ll support the senior operational team to keep the hotel running like clockwork and ensure our guests have an incredible experience with us. You’ll supervise the day-to-day hotel operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests’ expectations. We’re looking for someone with versatility, who is great at getting stuck in and thrives on the fast-paced nature of Hospitality!
