Ark Housing Association is seeking a Dunfermline Relief Support Worker to provide personalized care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. This part-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community. Applicants will receive full training, and previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

The Ark service in Dunfermline supports 12 people with learning disabilities and autism. The support we offer varies from person to person, offering lots of variety. Some individuals are supported to live independently, while others live with their families. Everyone is encouraged to express their support needs and goals, which may include cooking meals, swimming, taking medication, arts and crafts, visiting friends, or holidays.
Shifts are varied, ranging from 3 to 16 hours, across 7 days a week. Dunfermline has excellent public transport links, so being a driver is not essential.

What is a Relief Support Worker?
As a Relief Support Worker, you will perform the same duties as Support Workers during your shifts. Since this role is on an as-needed basis, it offers flexibility to pick up shifts that suit your availability.
Note: Relief work is on an as-and-when basis to cover staff absences and contingencies. Regular or ongoing shifts cannot be guaranteed as staffing needs change.
