Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Dual Registered Manager for two solo EBD children’s homes in Southport. You will provide strong leadership across both homes to deliver child-centred care and maintain high safeguarding standards.

You'll lead, support and develop staff, ensure Ofsted compliance, monitor care plans and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement while working closely with families and social care colleagues.

Dual Registered Manager – Children’s EBD Homes Location: Southport, Merseyside – PR9 Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Hours: Full-time Employment: Permanent opportunity

Are you an experienced Registered Manager with genuine experience overseeing more than one children’s home? I’m currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for two solo EBD children’s homes in Southport , both based in PR9 and, importantly, just around 4 minutes apart . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dual Registered Manager who is confident managing two homes, leading teams, maintaining high standards and ensuring children receive outstanding care and support.

The Role

• Providing strong leadership across both homes


• Ensuring both homes deliver high-quality, child-centred care


• Leading, supporting and developing staff teams


• Maintaining excellent safeguarding and care standards


• Ensuring the homes remain compliant with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation


• Monitoring care plans, risk assessments, records and other documentation


• Managing incidents, safeguarding concerns and complaints appropriately


• Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management


• Working closely with families, social workers, professionals and other stakeholders


• Preparing for and supporting inspections


• Driving continuous improvement across both homes


• Ensuring the children’s individual needs, aspirations and outcomes remain at the heart of everything you do

About You

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care


• Proven experience managing two homes / dual registration


• Strong knowledge of EBD and the needs of children and young people


• A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding


• Experience leading and developing residential care teams


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Confidence managing operational and regulatory responsibilities across two homes


• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children

Opportunity With Progression Built In

There is also potential for this position to develop further. If the current Registered Manager of a separate 2-bed EBD home in L40 returns to work, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to move into the Registered Manager position at that home. So, while the immediate requirement is for someone capable of managing two Southport homes , there is potential for this to develop into a longer-term opportunity within the organisation.
