Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is recruiting an experienced Dual Registered Manager to lead two EBD children’s homes in Blackpool and Poulton-le-Fylde. You will oversee care planning, safeguarding and regulatory compliance while maintaining high Ofsted performance.

The role requires strong leadership across two homes, trauma-informed approaches, and collaboration with social workers. A competitive package includes substantial bonuses and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Existing Ofsted Registered Manager with strong experience within children’s residential care.
• Experience managing EBD services and supporting children with trauma and complex needs.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire residential care teams across two homes.
• Proven ability to maintain high standards of care and positive Ofsted outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding legislation and Ofsted requirements.
• Commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care.
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management across two 2-bed EBD children’s homes in Blackpool and Poulton-le-Fylde.
• Oversee both specialist services, including an all-girls home and an all-boys home.
• Lead, supervise and develop high-performing residential care teams.
• Maintain the homes’ strong Ofsted performance, supporting the Outstanding and Good ratings.
• Oversee care planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.
• Ensure both homes operate in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
• Promote safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments that support positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Maintain full occupancy while ensuring placements remain appropriate and outcomes-focused.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor service performance and maintain high standards of care across both homes.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to wider organisational development.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Salary: £78,000 inclusive of bonuses
Homes: 2 x 2-bed EBD homes — 1 all-girls & 1 all-boys
Ofsted Ratings: 1 Outstanding & 1 Good
Occupancy: Both homes at full occupancy
