Job summary

Sureserve Energy Services Meters in Sutton, UK, is hiring a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to replace meters in customers’ homes, provide a full usage demonstration and post-install maintenance. This permanent, site-based role emphasises service excellence.

The engineer will perform meter exchanges, carry out maintenance, and benefit from a weekly meter fit bonus, £60 lunch expenses, a contributory pension, life assurance, and generous leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• MET1 requirement for smart meter installation and testing.
• CCN1/CMA1/CMA3 accreditation required or desirable.
• Experience with single-phase electricity installations is essential.
• MOCOPA (1a and 1c) certification needed or advantageous.
• REGT1 and polyphase knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required for site visits.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience fitting dual fuel smart meters is needed.
• 3 phase or single-off multi experience is advantageous.

Purpose of the role:

• To exchange gas and electricity meters in customers’ homes.
• Provide a first class after-care service which includes a full demonstration to the customer on using their new meter.
• Repairing and maintaining meters after initial install.

Banding A - Dual Fuel Engineer - £39,923 per annum

Banding B - 3 Phase / Medium Pressure - £41,571 per annum

OTE for DF only engineer £48-53K – uncapped
