Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified D&T teachers for roles across Bristol starting September 2026. Experience in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials is valued, with opportunities for day-to-day supply, longer-term positions, or new school environments.

Applicants should have UK QTS or equivalent, be comfortable with practical lessons, and be able to work across Bristol from September 2026. The role supports planning, delivery, and safe classroom practice.

Qualifications

• Do you hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent?
• Do you have experience teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials at secondary level?
• Are you available for work across Bristol from September 2026?
• Are you confident managing practical lessons and maintaining a safe classroom environment?
• Do you have previous experience teaching within a UK secondary school?

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.
• Managing practical lessons and ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed.
• Supporting students to develop practical and design skills.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Preparing and organising resources for practical activities.
• Working effectively with the wider DT department.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
