Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Design & Technology teachers for opportunities across Bristol starting September 2026. You will deliver DT across KS3/KS4, with a focus on Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials, and manage practical lessons in safe classroom settings.

Ideal candidates hold UK QTS or equivalent, have secondary teaching experience, and can work across Bristol from September 2026. Flexible day-to-day or longer-term roles available with supportive consultants.

Qualifications

• Qualified DT Teacher with experience teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials at secondary level.
• Experience teaching KS3/KS4 across Bristol preferred.
• Available for work across Bristol from September 2026.
• Confident managing practical lessons and maintaining a safe classroom environment.
• Experience teaching within UK secondary schools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.

As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to develop both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

We are particularly interested in teachers with experience in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, managing practical activities and ensuring students work safely and effectively with appropriate tools, equipment and materials.

The role would suit an experienced DT Teacher, as well as an ECT with relevant secondary teaching experience.
