Academics Ltd is seeking a qualified Secondary Design & Technology Teacher to support Chester-area secondary schools this September. The role offers flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term placements across KS3/KS4 disciplines including Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering, or Food Technology, depending on your background.

Deliver engaging theory and practical lessons, maintain a safe workshop, and adapt to various departments while ensuring compliance with health

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree are required.
• Strong knowledge of UK National Curriculum for D&T KS3/KS4, with health and safety awareness.
• Experience managing practical workshops and supervising machinery and making activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and engage: plan and deliver D&T lessons KS3/KS4 across multiple disciplines.
• Flexibility: cover across Chester for daily/short-term/long-term placements.
• Workshop safety & innovation: maintain a safe, structured workshop learning environment with tools and CAD/CAM.
• Classroom & practical management: uphold health and safety and guide coursework and projects.
