Job summary

Connex Education is seeking passionate Design & Technology teachers to inspire creativity and practical problem-solving across secondary schools in the Swindon area from September 2026. Flexible long-term and short-term roles with opportunities across D&T disciplines are available.

QTS is preferred, or strong subject teaching experience. Roles cover Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Food Technology, Textiles and other D&T specialisms, with weekly PAYE pay and career

Qualifications

• QTS preferred, or strong secondary Design & Technology teaching experience.
• Ability to teach across a range of D&T specialisms.
• Passion for inspiring young people through creative and practical learning.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity in education.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection understanding.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach flexibly across a range of Design & Technology subjects where required.
• Create a positive, inclusive, safe learning environment with high behaviour and workshop safety standards.
• Assess, monitor and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Inspire creativity, innovation and confidence through practical and theoretical learning experiences.
