Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Design & Technology teachers for opportunities across Bristol starting September 2026. You will deliver DT across KS3/KS4, with a focus on Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials, and manage practical lessons in safe classroom settings.

Ideal candidates hold UK QTS or equivalent, have secondary teaching experience, and can work across Bristol from September 2026. Flexible day-to-day or longer-term roles available with supportive consultants.

Qualifications

• Qualified DT Teacher with experience teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials at secondary level.
• Experience teaching KS3/KS4 across Bristol preferred.
• Available for work across Bristol from September 2026.
• Confident managing practical lessons and maintaining a safe classroom environment.
• Experience teaching within UK secondary schools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.
• Managing practical lessons and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Supporting students to develop practical and design skills.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Preparing and organising resources for practical activities.
• Collaborating with the wider DT department and adhering to school policies.
