Flourish Education in Birmingham is seeking a passionate DT & Food Technology Teacher to inspire pupils across KS3 and KS4 in Selly Oak. The role can be long-term or day-to-day, with planning and marking responsibilities expected for extended placements.

The successful candidate will teach across KS3/KS4, with practical, differentiated lessons and clear assessment. You will join a supportive team and contribute to an engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Specialism in Design Technology or Food Technology or a related subject.
• Experience teaching DT and/or Food Technology at secondary level.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to deliver engaging, practical and differentiated lessons.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• References covering all employment within the last 24 months.

Responsabilités

• Teach Design Technology and/or Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and practical lessons.
• Support pupils in developing creativity, practical skills and subject knowledge.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and follow the school's behaviour policy.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Promote a safe and positive learning environment, particularly during practical lessons.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
