Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking an experienced Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) Consultant for a 6-month, part-time contract starting in October. The role, based in Birmingham with 2 days on-site and flexible remote days, is inside IR35. Daily rate is £225–£250.

You will manage DSARs, collaborate with legal/compliance/IT, and document processes for audits. This position requires strong data privacy knowledge and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, delivering timely responses

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data privacy, legal compliance, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other international data laws.
• Familiarity with data management tools and privacy software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process DSARs efficiently, meeting all legal deadlines.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to gather, verify, and deliver requested data.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all request handling activities for audits.
• Provide guidance on best practices for DSAR processing and data privacy compliance.
• Address blockers and resolve issues that may delay response timelines.
• Support data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data in relation to DSARs.
