GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Drivers Mate in Milton Keynes for a full-time, permanent role. You will work a two-week rotating pattern, averaging 40 hours per week, with shifts starting at 7:30. Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS check and commute to Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products in a two-person team to customer premises, roughly 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
• Assist the delivery driver with parking, manoeuvring, loading and unloading as required.
• Provide courteous customer service and ensure goods arrive in good condition.
• Keep customers informed of ETA and communicate issues clearly.

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU).

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 7:30. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis – an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing
• Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute to Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU) for the required shift pattern
