GXO Logistics, Inc. in Milton Keynes is seeking a Drivers Mate to join its Store to Home team. You will work full-time on a two-week rotating shift pattern and start at 7:30, delivering products to customer premises as part of a two-person team.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing.
• Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS Check.
• Be prepared to commute to Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU) for the required shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis – an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season.
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required.
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition.
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner.

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU).

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 7:30. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.
