Job summary

Biffa Group in Manchester is seeking a Training Supervisor to design and deliver training for drivers, loaders, operatives and supervisors on recycling and waste contracts. You will ensure staff are fully equipped to perform their roles and uphold a safety-focused culture.

Candidates with a background in training or as experienced drivers in waste management or related services will be considered. A Category C licence and Driver CPC are essential, with IT literacy and strong time management

Qualifications

• LGV Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Working knowledge of transport and relevant legislation.
• Previous waste or service industry experience.
• Ability to operate in a time-critical service environment.
• IT literate and proficient with business software.

Responsibilities

• Operational Support: assist depots in achieving targets and mentor staff on safety.
• Training Delivery: provide high-standard training aligned with standards and contracts.
• Driver Coaching & Compliance: improve driver skills and report competency gaps.
• Depot-Based Training: conduct training on key operational practices.
