Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Bristol is seeking an experienced Driver Development Assessor (DDA) / Driver Trainer to join our new operation supporting Waitrose.

You will coach, assess and develop drivers, manage inductions, ongoing training, and ensure safety, compliance and continuous improvement across a fast-paced, multi-drop environment.

This permanent role offers a modern facility, a supportive team and opportunities to progress within DHL's UK network.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering inductions, OPS35A assessments, refresher training and ongoing coaching to ensure safety, compliance and performance.
• Managing driver development through telematics data, training matrices, KPI monitoring and structured support for drivers.
• Completing DPRAs, profiling Waitrose branches and allocating drivers by route risk and experience.
• Conducting on-road assessments, investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions to improve safety.
• Maintaining training and compliance records and collaborating with operational teams for continuous improvement.
