Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer in Warwickshire to lead hands-on training for drivers, assess performance, and improve safety standards across the fleet.

You will deliver practical in-vehicle training, tailor sessions to business needs, and support inductions and ongoing development. The role emphasizes compliance, safe practices, and collaboration with internal teams to raise driving standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with LGV categories (clean licence preferred).
• DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or DVSA Fleet Driver Trainer qualification.
• Previous experience or qualifications related to driver training delivery.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, practical driver training across HGVs and light commercial vehicles.
• Conduct driving assessments for new and existing drivers.
• Support the recruitment process through driver evaluations.
• Provide training on load restraint, vehicle safety, and daily vehicle checks.
• Assist with driver inductions, including in-cab and on-road elements.
• Reinforce safe working practices through practical coaching and real-world application.
• Support driver development following incidents, investigations, or performance reviews.
• Work with telematics data to identify training needs and deliver targeted retraining.
• Maintain accurate training records and report outcomes to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve driver standards and safety culture.
• Contribute to audit preparation and compliance requirements.
