Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Exeter is seeking a Driver's Mate to support our drivers in delivering goods safely and on time. You will help load and unload, coordinate with the transport team and complete handheld device checks as part of a busy logistics operation.

The role is permanent, full-time with early shifts (Mon–Fri 05:00–09:00) and up to three contracted Saturdays per year. A full UK driving licence (Cat B) is desirable and a positive attitude will help you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires full valid driving licence Cat B with no more than 6 points.
• Physically fit due to manual handling.
• Organised with the ability to manage workload.
• Experience as a Driver's Mate is beneficial but not required.
• Basic maths skills for simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the picking and loading of alcohol onto your assigned vehicle prior to delivery.
• Accompanying and assisting driver with unloading deliveries at licensed premises.
• Staying in touch with the transport team to advise of any problems.
• Completing relevant processes on an electronic handheld device.
