Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Exeter is seeking a Driver's Mate to support our drivers in delivering goods safely and on time. The role involves early start patterns, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, and a permanent full-time contract.

You will coordinate loading, assist with unloading at licensed premises, communicate with the transport team, and use an electronic handheld device to complete required processes. ACat B driving licence is desirable; 6 points maximum applies.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to manual handling.
• Good organisational skills and workload management.
• Able to perform basic maths calculations.
• Full valid driving licence Cat B; no more than 6 points.

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday Start times 05:00 - 09:00, Plus 3 Contracted Saturdays throughout the year

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Coordinating the picking and loading of alcohol onto your assigned vehicle prior to delivery
• Accompanying and assisting driver with unloading deliveries at licensed premises
• Staying in touch with the transport team to advise of any problems
• Completing relevant processes on an electronic handheld device

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
• Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
• Can perform simple math's calculations
• Previous experience as a Driver's Mate, within a similar environment would be ideal but isn't a deal breaker!
• Full valid driving licence Cat B (Car Licence) Desirable
• No more than 6 points
