Job summary

Veolia ES (UK) in Widnes is seeking a dedicated driver to join our waste management team. You will drive to planned collection locations, lift bins of all sizes, and complete vehicle checks as per the driver operator handbook.

We offer a competitive OTE up to £51,429.28 per year (base £41,429.28) with Veolia benefits, weekly pay, a £5 daily meal allowance, and generous leave. Flexibility with shifts and a supportive, inclusive workplace are provided.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 licence (Cat C).
• Essential: CPC.
• Essential: Digi/Tachograph card.
• Desirable: Waste management experience.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes as required.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and logging notes via onboard tech.
• Complying with traffic laws and ensuring clean carriageways.

Salary: OTE of up to £51,429.28

Based on £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay

£5.00 Daily meal allowance

Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins (RCV mode)

Hours

48 hours per week - 4 am starts finishing around 14:30 pm

Working 5 out of 7 days (rota pattern)

Some days you may be asked to start later so you must be flexible with working hours.

What you'll be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go!
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
• Using onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we're looking for

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Essential: Up-to-date CPC
• Essential: Digi / Tachograph card
• Desirable: Previous Waste Management experience
