Job summary

Veolia ES (UK) in Colchester is seeking a driver to join our waste management fleet. You will drive to planned collection points, move and empty containers, and ensure paperwork is kept up to date in the onboard system.

Essential qualifications include a Class 2 license (Cat C), CPC, and a Digi/Tachograph card. The role offers a salary of £41,429.28 per year plus benefits, with 22 days of annual leave (rising to 25) and opportunities for training and development.

• CPC qualification required.
• Digi / Tachograph Card valid.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple waste containers.
• Input all information into the onboard system and keep paperwork up to date daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Comply with traffic laws, weight limits and load safety.
• Maintain a clean carriageway and tidy spillages as required.

£5.00 Daily meal allowance - per day worked

Single person Daily Allowance: Paid Dependant on the Route £41.16

Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 4am starts and finishing at 14:00 Some days you will be asked to start later so you must be flexible with working hours

What you'll be doing ;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we're looking for ;

Essential:

• Class 2 (Cat C) license
• Up to date CPC
• Digi / Tachograph Card

Desirable :

• Previous waste management experience
• RORO and Skip experience
