Job summary

Veolia in Hull is seeking a driver to join our team to collect and empty waste containers on planned routes. You will load bins and operate with daily vehicle checks, using onboard systems to log work and ensure lawful disposal.

This role starts early, with some Saturday work, and offers progression within a large environmental services group. You will need a Class 2 (Cat C) licence, up-to-date CPC and a Digi/Tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence is required.
• CPC and Digi/Tachograph cards must be current.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and using onboard notes to record work.
• Ensuring loads comply with traffic laws and are disposed of responsibly.

Salary

OTE of up to £49,835.85

Based on £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay

£5.00 Daily meal allowance

Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins

Hours

48 hours per week - start times between 4-6am

Required to work 1 in 8 Saturdays

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Using onboard technology to complete work notes
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we're looking for;

Essential

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up-to-date CPC
• Digi / Tachograph card

Desirable

• Waste Management experience
