Job summary

Veolia in Bedford is seeking a Class 2 driver to join our waste collection fleet. You will drive to planned collection locations, unload containers and complete daily checks, with 48 hours per week and a 4am start in the AM shift, Monday to Friday.

Occasional Saturday work may be required. You will input information into the onboard system and comply with traffic laws while enjoying Veolia benefits, including pension and health support, with potential bonuses through incentives.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• Digi/Tachograph card required.
• Experience with skip or RORO is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and empty multiple commercial waste containers.
• Ensure all information is entered into the onboard system and paperwork submitted daily.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks in line with driver operator handbook.
• Comply with traffic laws and weight restrictions on loads.

Salary: £44,744.152 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Paid weekly

£5.00 daily meal allowance

Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins (RCV mode only)

Hours: 48 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

AM Shifts 4am starts

Occasional Saturday working will be required

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads

What we're looking for;

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Digi / Tachograph card
• Ideally you will have Skip or RORO experience
