Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in London is seeking a Class 2 driver to operate refuse collection vehicles safely, performing pre-trip inspections and adhering to HGV regulations.

You will work as part of a team with strong communication to management, report issues to the workshop, and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness. A 5-week cycle rota with extra weekly pay (£380.04) is available.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence required.
• CPC/DIGI card up to date.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work confidently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and end-of-shift inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and safety compliance.
• Operate the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV regulations.
• Communicate with management and report mechanical issues to the workshop.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours regulations and mandatory rest breaks.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance; follow health and safety protocols.

Job description

• Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations.
• Communicating with Management.
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the workshop.
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks.
• Prior experience working within Waste sorting any issues and full compliance of our on-boarding ECHO.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with Management and our clients.
• Following health and safety protocols.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and properly maintained.
• Class 2 licence required
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
