Job summary

Wolseley Group in Milton Keynes is looking for a Delivery Driver – 32T to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of items to different addresses, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

The role requires a full Class 1 HGV licence, Driver CPC, and familiarity with digital tachographs and handheld devices. You will work with the transport team and adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 HGV licence.
• Up to date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.
• Experience with digital handheld devices.
• Confident interacting with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses.
• Providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers as a Wolseley ambassador.
• Carrying out health and safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Working with the transport team and transport administration.
• Unloading and loading at customers’ premises.

As a HGV Driver based in Milton Keynes you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers’ premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

• A full, Class 1 HGV licence
• Up to date knowledge of digital tachographs
• Driver CPC
• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
