Job summary

Deutsche Post in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Driver Development Assessor to advance the driver team, focusing on safety, compliance and performance. You will coach colleagues, support operational improvements and promote best practice across the fleet.

The role involves delivering training, assessments, inductions, and driving performance improvements within a busy logistics environment. A valid HGV Class 1 licence and Driver CPC are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of transport compliance including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Experience with Tachomaster, Microlise or similar systems is beneficial.
• Experience in coaching, supporting, and developing others is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training, assessments, inductions and refresher coaching activities.
• Support investigations into accidents, incidents and compliance issues with opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor driver performance using Tachomaster/Microlise and provide developmental feedback.
• Maintain training records, skills matrices and compliance documentation.
• Support rollout of new processes, technologies and digital initiatives across transport operations.
