Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Trainer for our Severnside site. The role focuses on delivering CPC training, driver assessments, and practical coaching while ensuring compliance with tachograph rules and RTWTD guidelines.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence, have training experience, and be confident presenting to groups. The position offers a steady shift pattern and ongoing development opportunities within a leading transport provider.

Qualifications

• Hold a full and valid C+E Driving Licence for a minimum of 3 years.
• Previous experience in a Driver Trainer, Driver Assessor or similar training role.
• Ability to speak confidently in front of an audience and communicate key information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate colleagues.
• Confident delivering training sessions to groups of varying sizes in classroom and practical environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driving assessments for new and existing drivers.
• Deliver Driver CPC and other driver development training.
• Present training materials and facilitate group learning sessions.
• Support on-route learning and delivery point familiarisation.
• Monitor tachograph infringements and provide coaching.
• Deliver coaching on safe driving and fuel efficiency.
• Mentor trainee drivers and assist with on-road driving duties when required.
• Promote best practice throughout the business.

HGV Driver Trainer - Severnside

Excellent opportunity to utilise your driving expertise and training skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced C+E Driver Trainer based at our Severnside site. This role offers a 5-on, 2-off shift pattern working for one of the UK's largest transport and logistics groups.

As part of the role, you may be required to work as a Class 1 Driver during peak operational periods, including Christmas and summer holidays. Therefore, a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is essential.

Shift Pattern

Tuesday to Saturday 10:00am - 8:00pm

Driver Trainer Pay Rates

Days

• Monday to Friday: £17.30 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £19.46 per hour
• Saturday: £19.46 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £25.95 per hour

Nights

• Monday to Friday: £19.77 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £21.92 per hour
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £28.41 per hour

Only a 30-minute break deducted per shift.
£40 weekly uplift

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Legislation.
• Good understanding of the Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD).
• Willingness to deliver Driver CPC Training.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Basic computer skills.

• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.

Main Responsibilities
