Job summary

Great Bear in Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting a Driver Debriefer on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide general admin support to the Transport Department while handling driver debriefs and operational tasks.

Salary: £26,921 per year. Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:30–19:30. You will maintain records, manage PODs, ETAs, timesheets, and communicate information to Customer Services as part of a busy logistics team.

Responsibilities

• Debriefing drivers accurately.
• Check timesheets and ensure PODs are correctly completed.
• Scan and store PODs using the document management system.
• Prepare drivers' wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper.
• Answer telephone inquiries.
• Download drivers' cards / tachographs.
• Communicate ETAs to Customer Services.
• Update spreadsheets (run summaries, change-overs, trailer checks).
• Manage loads and close despatches using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched with correct loads.
• Track all trailers.

Job description

Our friendly transport team in Stoke on Trent have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Debriefer to join their team on a full time permanent basis!

As a Driver Debriefer you will be responsible for providing general administration support to the Transport Department.

Salary: £26,921 per annum.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:30-19:30.

Key Duties of a Driver De-Briefer include:

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina's document management system.
• Preparing drivers' wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers' cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing & Completing of loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
• Ensure all trailers are tracked.
