Job summary

Great Bear in Blyth is seeking a Class 1 Driver to make deliveries to customers with adherence to tachograph rules and safety standards. You will maintain paperwork accuracy and uphold high professional standards across all shifts.

The role requires recent Class 1 experience (minimum 6 months) and knowledge of Road Transport Directive. You will work with a team under flexible start times, following company procedures and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to customers' premises, maintaining professional conduct.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure.
• Observe tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Manage paperwork accurately and in line with health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.

Job description

Shift: 5 in 7 Days - 06:00am-08:00am start window.

Salary: £15.16 per hour.

Overtime: x 1.5 of the hourly rate - Effective once weekly contracted hours have been worked.

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
• Make deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
