Job summary

DHL Derby is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our busy operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. You will deliver palletised loads to RDCs and other sites as part of a nationwide network.

A typical day involves multi-drop deliveries with an average of two drops per shift, driving across the UK, and occasional unloading assistance. We value safety, efficiency and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide.
• Average of 2 drops per shift.
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network.
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets.
• Occasionally assist with unloading (about 2% of deliveries).
• Drive safely in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and road regulations.

Shift patterns: Working 4 on, 4 off on a rolling rota - starting at 4pm
Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
