Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the East Midlands area is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ambient goods deliveries to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. The role is permanent full-time with a shift pattern starting at 12am, based at East Midlands Gateway - Derby.

Typical duties include multi-drop deliveries across the UK, with an average of two drops per shift, handling pallets, and occasional unloading. You will drive safely in line with regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with CPC and Tachograph card.
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Max 6 penalty points on licence.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide.
• Average of 2 drops per shift.
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network.
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets.
• Occasional unloading of pallets at RDCs (about 2% of deliveries).
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Comply with health and safety standards and Highway Code.

We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of 2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
