Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our busy operation at East Midlands Gateway – Derby. You will deliver ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK, with shifts starting early mornings and across varied patterns.

Your role involves multi-drop pallet deliveries, driving nationwide, and occasional light unloading at the RDCs. A customer-focused approach and safe driving are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Various shifts available: x1 Sunday-Wednesday starting at 2am, x2 Friday-Monday starting at 3am
Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well‑known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum8 months recent Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
