Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Hatfield is hiring a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our logistics network and ensure timely, safe goods delivery. The role operates 40 hours per week with a permanent full-time contract; shifts Tue-Sat and Sun-Thu start early hours.

You will drive safely according to Drivers' Hours rules, perform vehicle checks, and assist with pallet handling using a pallet truck and tail lift. A valid Class 1 licence, CPC, and tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence and Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card possession essential.
• Experience with pallet trucks and tail lifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 vehicles in line with hours regulations.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and daily maintenance.
• Handle Pallet trucks and tail-lift operations safely.
• Maintain compliance with The Highway Code and safety standards.

Pay Rate: £20.95 per hour
Grade: P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) 40 hours per week
Shift patterns: Tuesday - Saturday /Sunday - Thursday (4 -6 am start time)
Location: Hatfield, AL10 9BD

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products (Pallet truck & Tail lift)

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience
